01

Why Hotbit Closed

Hotbit operated for approximately five years and served a global cryptocurrency audience. On May 22, 2023, the company announced that it was stopping all centralised exchange operations.

The company cited worsening operating conditions following an investigation-related suspension in 2022, broader failures in the crypto industry, continuing outflows from centralised exchanges, cyberattacks and losses linked to exploited project vulnerabilities.

02

What the Platform Previously Offered

Before closing, Hotbit provided spot markets, a large selection of smaller cryptoassets, ETF-style products and several earning or staking services. Older information about fees, KYC rules, available coins and account limits is historical and should not be presented as a current offer.

!

Hotbit does not belong in a ranking of active exchanges. There should be no registration button, affiliate link, current fee table or claim that users can still trade on the platform.

03

Accounts, Funds and Impersonation Risk

The withdrawal period announced by Hotbit ended in 2023. FORECK.INFO cannot confirm the recovery status of any individual balance. Former users should rely only on verifiable official or legal communications and should never send passwords, two-factor authentication codes, wallet seed phrases or private keys to anyone claiming to restore access.

04

FORECK.INFO Assessment

Hotbit is a closed exchange, not an available trading venue. This URL remains online only to document the platform’s history, shutdown date and known risks. It is excluded from rankings of active cryptocurrency exchanges.

Hotbit is wild for the sheer number of coins and staking options, but I’ve had withdrawals get delayed and the site can go offline sometimes. Support never replied to my ticket. Fun for experimenting, but I wouldn’t trust it with my main portfolio.

The platform often went offline, and I even had withdrawals delayed for days. Support never replied to my ticket, which killed my trust. It might be okay for small plays, but I wouldn’t risk keeping serious funds there.

Hotbit was fun to use because of the huge selection of coins and staking options. I liked exploring small projects here and even earned some rewards. For experimenting with altcoins, it worked fine for me.
