HitBTC Review: Features, Fees & User Insights

HitBTC is a veteran global crypto exchange, established in 2013, and known for its massive selection of over 800 trading pairs and high liquidity. Catering to both new and professional traders, HitBTC stands out for its advanced trading features and competitive fees.

Core Advantages

  • No mandatory KYC: Crypto trading and withdrawals do not require verification, unless you want to use fiat (USD/EUR).
  • Market depth: Among the top exchanges for daily trading volume, ensuring quick execution and tight spreads.
  • Asset diversity: Supports 800+ pairs, covering major coins and new tokens.
  • Professional interface: User-friendly for beginners, but equipped with tools for deep technical analysis and automation.

Limitations & Drawbacks

  • English only: No multi-language UI; may be a barrier for some users.
  • Support delays: Some users have reported slow response times from customer support.

Account Setup & Verification

Registering is straightforward: just an email and password. KYC is only necessary for fiat transactions (USD/EUR) and involves document upload and proof of residence. For crypto, you can deposit and withdraw freely.

Deposits, Withdrawals & Trading

Crypto deposits/withdrawals are direct and quick, using on-chain addresses. Fiat is available to verified accounts. HitBTC offers multiple order types, including market, limit, and stop orders. Fees are competitive: 0.09% for makers, 0.1% for takers.

Security

HitBTC applies strong security: two-factor authentication (2FA), cold wallet storage, and auto log-out for idle sessions. The exchange has a solid track record, with no major hacks or systemic losses reported in recent years.

User Reviews

Community feedback is mixed. Most users praise the platform's liquidity, range of coins, and advanced trading tools. Common complaints are around slow support and lack of language localization.

Conclusion

HitBTC is a strong choice for active crypto traders looking for a wide range of markets and low fees, especially those who value privacy and want to avoid mandatory KYC. The platform’s English-only interface and slow support may be hurdles for some, but for pure trading flexibility and liquidity, HitBTC stands out in 2025.

I’ve been on HitBTC for a while because of the altcoin listings, but withdrawal fees are really high, and I’ve heard of funds being frozen. Personally, I haven’t lost money, but I’ve had slow withdrawals and support wasn’t much help. Use it for rare coins, but move your funds out quickly.
