What Is Phantom Wallet?
Phantom is a non-custodial, multichain Web3 wallet. It started as the go-to wallet for the Solana ecosystem and now supports Ethereum, Polygon, and Bitcoin. The core pitch: a fast, clean interface for sending/receiving assets, interacting with dApps, managing NFTs, swapping tokens, and—on Solana—staking directly in-app.
Price
Free to download and use. There are no subscription fees or hidden wallet charges.
Fees
Network fees: you pay on-chain gas. Typical ranges: Solana — very low (often < 0.01), Ethereum — variable/higher, Polygon — low, Bitcoin — variable by mempool load.
DEX/swap fees: if you use built-in swaps, expect standard DEX fees and routing spreads depending on liquidity.
Supported Chains & Assets
Native support for Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, Bitcoin, and Sui. NFT collections span Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon, with in-wallet galleries and actions (view, send, receive).
Security & Protections
Non-custodial: private keys remain under user control.
Hardware wallet compatibility:Ledger integration for cold-signing flows.
Audits: code reviewed by independent security firms (vendor-stated); always install from the official site and stores.
Recovery: Secret Recovery Phrase (seed) to restore across devices—protect it offline.
Support
Help Center / Docs: FAQs, how-tos, and troubleshooting.
Chatbot & community: website assistant plus social channels.
Note: No always-on live chat or phone line; complex issues may take longer via ticket/community routes.
User Experience
Phantom’s UI is straightforward: quick asset actions, seamless chain switching, and smooth dApp connections. The wallet is available as a browser extension (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, Edge) and on iOS/Android. Auto-lock timers and multi-device sync via seed phrase help balance convenience with safety—use trusted devices only.
Key Features
NFT management: view/send/receive NFTs (Solana, Ethereum, Polygon) within the wallet.
Swaps: integrated token swaps with low-slippage routing where liquidity allows.
Buy crypto: in-wallet purchases of SOL/ETH/MATIC/BTC via supported providers (card, bank transfer, Apple Pay—availability varies by region).
DeFi access: connect to leading protocols directly; SOL staking is available in-wallet.
Social profile & contacts: optional public profiles and friend discovery for easier transfers.
History: clear transaction logs with details per network.

Phantom remains the most polished Solana-first wallet while delivering credible multichain support and NFT-native workflows. For users who want low-fee SOL UX, in-wallet swaps, and straightforward dApp access—with optional Ledger security—Phantom is an easy recommendation.
The Phantom wallet has really impressed me with its fast, intuitive, and user-friendly interface. Transactions run smoothly, and the security features give me confidence when moving my assets. I was especially happy about the recent integration of SUI, which makes the wallet even more versatile. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for managing Solana and other supported assets — I’ve been very satisfied with it so far.
@ Ella Morgan Totally agree! I switched to Phantom a few months ago, and it’s been great. The speed is honestly on another level compared to most wallets. I also noticed the SUI integration — super smooth. If they keep adding new chains like that, it might become my main wallet for daily use.

I tried putting €25 into Phantom to buy Solana and selected SEPA as the payment method. Unfortunately, the payment processor behind it, MoonPay, didn’t respond at all. I also tried buying through PayPal, but that didn’t work either. Because of this, it’s not something I can recommend based on my experience, which is disappointing.
Tried buying SOL with €25 via SEPA and PayPal, but both payments failed through MoonPay. Really disappointing, and without reliable purchase options, it’s hard to recommend.
Super smooth wallet for Solana — fast, intuitive, and easy to use even on mobile. I like how simple it is to send, swap, and stake directly inside the app. The recent support for other chains makes it even more versatile.
This wallet was recommended to me in a channel when I was having issues with my hardware wallet. Unfortunately, I still can’t really understand the recommendation — it just hasn’t lived up to my expectations.
