CAC 40 Trades Near 8071 as Bond Yields Rise and Corporate Results Weigh

Manufacturing companies continue to struggle amid the EU’s ongoing energy crisis. Yesterday, engineering group Bouygues SA reported revenue of €14.99 billion, slightly below the forecast of €15.11 billion. Meanwhile, electrical equipment manufacturer Legrand SA is expected to post revenue of €2.25 billion today, compared to €2.50 billion in the previous quarter, and energy giant Engie SA forecasts revenue of €13.95 billion versus €15.1 billion a year earlier.

Bond demand has shifted slightly, pushing yields higher: the yield on 10-year government bonds rose to 3.461% from 3.448% at the start of the week, 20-year bonds climbed to 4.039% from 4.002%, and 30-year bonds advanced to 4.321% from 4.297%.

The session’s top gainers in the index include Teleperformance SE (+2.92%), Renault SA (+2.35%), Stellantis NV (+1.83%), and Accor SA (+1.67%). On the downside, the main laggards are Edenred SA (–3.21%), Thales (–2.79%), Eurofins Scientific SE (–1.27%), and Sanofi SA (–1.25%).

On the daily chart, prices continue a local correction, retreating slightly from the upper boundary of the ascending channel with dynamic limits between 8300.0 and 7700.0.

Technical indicators show a weakening of the global buy signal: the fast EMAs on the Alligator indicator are narrowing their range, while the AO histogram remains slightly above the zero line, forming correction bars.
