“Bitcoin deserves a stablecoin that is truly native, lightweight, private, and scalable,” noted Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino.
Currently, USDT is available on 20 networks, including Ethereum, TRON, Solana, Polygon, and Avalanche.

After the launch, the RGB Association was formed, which includes Bitfinex, Fulgur Ventures, Plan B Network, Boosty Labs, Kaleidoswap, ThunderStack, Bitcoin Tribe, and LNFI. The organization is intended to coordinate, promote, and develop the project.
Beginning September 1, Tether will cease USDT redemptions across five networks — Algorand, Bitcoin Cash SLP, EOS, Kusama, and Omni Layer — and freeze the remaining tokens.
