Today, semiconductor producer Infineon Technologies AG will publish its financial results, with revenue expected at €3.93 billion versus €3.7 billion in the previous quarter and €3.92 billion a year earlier, while earnings per share (EPS) may reach €0.439 after €0.49 YoY. Energy company RWE AG is projected to post €4.08 billion in revenue and €0.185 EPS, compared to €4.74 billion and €1.56 a year before. Meanwhile, pharmaceutical giant Bayer AG is expected to see revenue decline from €9.97 billion to €9.69 billion, though EPS may rise to €0.366 from €0.240 — a solid recovery after a –€0.200 loss last quarter.

The bond market remains a headwind for risk assets as yields across major maturities edge higher: the 10-year yield rose to 2.657% from 2.641%, the 20-year to 3.148% from 3.126%, and the 30-year to 3.252% from 3.232%.
